It all started with a tweet last week that said:

“Husband got given out to today. For carrying baby in his arms in a corridor on the maternity wing. Dangerous. Could be water spilled.”

AIMS shared the tweet on their Facebook account and asked mums if either them or their partners have been given out for the way they were caring for their babies. A LOT of mums replied with different reasons why they were given a reprimand.

Here are 11 reasons why you could be given out at an Irish maternity hospital. Can you add more?

1. Having your baby in his/her cot with no hat

2. Feeding your baby while lying in bed

3. Sleeping in bed with your baby

4. Having your baby sleeping on your chest.

5. Having your other half walking the baby around the hospital

6. Having your partner driving a motorcycle to the hospital

7. Carrying your baby in a sling instead of the car seat on the way out of the Hospital

8. Changing the baby’s nappy on the hospital bed

9. Using baby wipes when changing the baby’s nappy

10. Using a breast-feeding pillow, nipple shields or breastfeeding pump

11. I got slapped on the hand and scolded by a Physio for accidentally putting the wrong arm into the babygro first
